NYE: A Guide to Success

nye

It’s that time of the year again… figuring out New Year’s Eve. There aren’t many things I dread more than trying to make plans for this holiday. The older I get, the more toxic NYE becomes, but … it still can be fun!  We’ve all had bad NYEs, but don’t let those bad apples ruin your holiday.

This is obvious, but spending time with friends or family is the number one objective to a successful night. Most of the people in my life are extremely busy during the holidays, but NYE allows us the time off to join friends and celebrate together. So host a party! Go to a nice restaurant! Hit up a Casino. What you do matters less than being together for the evening.

I like to involve everyone in planning/organizing. Deciding on a restaurant can be fun, so setup a group text and air out the pros/cons until you find the perfect spot. When the party/dinner has died down, find a local watering hole, tell stories about the good ole days, and ring in the new year right.

Great friends, family, drinks, and food is always going to be fun. Take the time to enjoy it.

PS: Drink and eat a lot!
