SquareSpace is the Place
I’ve had the opportunity to work in SquareSpace a lot over the last few months. If you don’t know, SquareSpace is a website hosting platform, distinct from both a domain name and email services (though to be fair, various vendors offer to blend all two or three of these into a package). Anyway… a website hosting provider hosts all your files for your website, so when a patron enters in your URL (the domain) it looks at the host to “show” that person your website.
SquareSpace has a user-friendly platform that makes web design relatively easy. There are tons of templates to choose from, from simple, info-only sites to more complex e-commerce websites. Many third-party apps can be integrated into Squarespace. For instance, JotForm is a tool that creates a more complex fillable form that can be inserted into the site. MailChimp (eBlast/newsletter subscription) can also be added so that folks can sign up for your newsletter and be added to your database.
Any features that aren’t available can usually be added as a hidden code to the website. There are many professional web designers out there who have YouTube videos on how to bypass or add features that don’t exist or are no longer available.
My point is, I’m a big advocate of Squarespace. If you ever need a website built, I highly recommend - 10/10!
