Will Plays Weird Games: LISA (The Painful)

1

I don’t finish many games these days. Growing up, playing a game to full completion was more about wanting to play SOMETHING and only having a handful of games to scratch that itch. Fast forward to 2017. Computer games are constantly on sale and development tools are such that anyone can make a playable game at home. I have to actively CHOOSE what’s worth my now-limited time. So a week ago, I chose LISA.

Handy SysAdmin Tips!

Need to copy files off of a user’s computer but don’t have a flash drive big enough?

Say a user clicked a link they shouldn’t have, or maybe Windows installed updates and then promptly fell down. Regardless, you’ll need to wipe Windows and reinstall, but you don’t want the user to lose all of their locally saved work. It’s simple! Just go to “\\COMPUTERNAME\C$” and you’ll be on the user’s C:\ drive. “D$” will get you the D:\ drive, and so on. I’ve also used this handy tip to copy files off of an old CD where only one computer in the building had a CD drive.

Hi, everyone.  My name is Kris, and I’m addicted to Facebook.
Last night, I deleted Facebook from my phone in an attempt to “just knock it off.”  This was the 2nd attempt in that many months: my partner and I sat together in our living room, phones in hand, and said “Ready to delete?” after discussing why we needed to be more present, etc.  We held the F icon until it shook and then he said “Wait, let me change my profile pic.  And then after that, you’ll probably want to ‘like’ the photo…” and then we forgot about our pact completely.  According to FB, that was November 17th.  Last night, we did it for real.  My phone icons shifted, and I felt empty inside (until I moved the Snapchat icon in its place).
