Behold: the iPhone 12

I was lucky enough to get my hands on an iPhone 12 this season. I jumped from the 8 to the 12 and there were definitely some new tricks I had to learn. Here are my personal experiences:

Home Button = ByeBye.
The home button and I had a 12-year relationship, and then it just up and vanished. I knew it had disappeared with the iPhone 11, but I wasn’t able to understand the concept ‘til now. Do I like it less/more? I’m pretty neutral about it, to be honest. I sometimes miss it, but I’m adjusting well, too. Swiping from the bottom up isn’t so bad.

Gaming in the Age of Loneliness

Hey all. If you’re anything like me, this whole COVID fiasco started out alright, then slowly progressed through various stages of mania. Like trying to stick to the walls like Spider Man and learning to do handstands. Other than these noble pursuits, how do we stave off the COVID-induced insanity, you may ask? That’s right, even MORE gaming. Not just any old gaming, however; we’re getting FRIENDS involved this time. I’ve compiled a list of some popular picks my friends and I have used during these troubling times to keep in touch and also keep our minds spry.

My Cat Deleted My Email, and other Wildly Truthful 2020 Excuses

It’s true, I swear.

Directly in front of me is sits a wide USB-C monitor, where I focus my attention and my work. Slightly to the right of it sits my open laptop, where I move less needy applications and ongoing tasks. And only very slightly to the left of that laptop rests Wismo, a 15lb cat. She prefers to curl between my mouse-hand and laptop, which is like trying to fit into a pair of pants you wore pre-quarantine.

BoaC Agent

Any of our clients that have heard us spout tech jargon have mostly likely heard the term “BOAC (Birds on a Cable) agent” when referring to several of our services. You may have received a rundown of what it is during onboarding or a support call, but during my time as a Bird I’ve realized there are those out there that have no idea what it actually does. I’m going to give you a breakdown of what we are putting on your computers and servers, and why it is so powerful.

In simple terms, our BOAC agent is a program we install on your computer that allows us to remotely deploy an array of services onto your machine. They vary depending on your organization’s needs, so the agent on your machine may not do all of the things that I’m about to mention. However, one of the beauties is that once it is installed, we can activate any of these services with a few clicks of our mice and you won’t even notice. Let’s get into it!
