Keeping Up with the Apple-ashians

iOS 15 for iPhone was released on September 20th at 10a (if anyone is counting). And apparently the iPhone 13 was released on September 24th. Did you have your calendars marked? I didn’t!

I have been seeing videos of the iOS 15 that are pretty cool. Here are some features you can expect with the new release:

  1. Apple Maps will have a newer look! Some map details will be shown in 3D (like highway interchanges). You can use the map’s AR (augmented reality) to scan commercial buildings around you in case you get lost downtown.
  2. FaceTime is getting an upgrade. It will be closer in features to videoconferencing systems like Zoom. You can create links to share and invite others into a call. FaceTime calls will sound more natural, too, and you can choose Voice Isolation feature, which will mute all ambient noise so only your voice can be heard.
  3. Live Text is one of coolest features with the update. Point your camera to a recipe in a book, for example, and then be able to select the text you want so you can send it off in a text or place it in Notes.

Enjoy the new iOS!
