THE iPhone 11!

It’s here! It’s already here (again)!

My excitement surrounding the new iPhone is twofold: 1. I am desperate to upgrade into a device that isn’t 3 iterations old; and 2. I bet the new one doesn’t have a cracked screen. While Apple’s next big thing is not yet tucked into my back my pocket – caseless and at risk – it’s on its way to its new home. And even though this upgrade has felt inevitable for me, I have learned quite a bit while in waiting for new hardware.

I’ve mentioned, but my decision to stick with the iPhone is mostly out of convenience. My smart home and daily routine are managed by my device – specially Apple Homekit – and while I’m curious about other options, I’m also a creature of habit. I would prefer the features of convenience in my life to be left undisturbed. This means that, while completely aesthetic, one of the biggest changes I can introduce is color. Welcome, Midnight Green.

They say that minor changes aide in driving focus and observation. If you were to change your computer’s desktop background with some frequency, it’s good for the brain. I’m going to extrapolate that idea and suggest that a new toy in a new color will be healthy. (Yes, this is totally a stretch.).

In actuality, what I lament the most is that I’m (read: my phone is) in no condition to wait another year, to wait for the iPhone 12. It’s rumored that the next next big thing will ditch the lightning charger in favor of USB-C. And that it will be truly 5G compatible. But oh well. It’s not here now.

So, if you’re able to wait, wait. If you need to buy, take a look at this resource and make your pick. Across reviews, blogs and rumors, I have read and reread that the iPhone (non-Pro version) is strikingly affordable for its features, and Apple claims that the internal processing hardware is the fastest in any mobile device. I’m not going to be disappointed. Maybe you’ll be midnight green with envy.
