Carpio

SPOILER ALERT: Using a mouse has been linked to carpal tunnel syndrome, which can lead to permanent dysfunction of the hand or wrist if not addressed. To help combat this issue, DeltaHub has created the Carpio – an ergonomic wrist rest with an impressive amount of rave reviews. The Carpio is a great tool for anyone that spends a lot of time using a mouse, which includes me. Starting with the Carpio 1.0, the team at DeltaHub then released the Carpio 2.0 and, finally, the Carpio G2.0 designed especially for gaming.

Wrist rests are a great solution for elevating the wrists from the tabletop. Instead of relying on makeshift materials, Carpio has designed a high-quality product that offers lasting comfort and durability. Who knew something so small, so simple, could make such an enormous difference? With different size options, and models for both right hands and left hands, it’s easy to find a Carpio that fits you and is comfortable.

I purchased the Carpio G2.0 about 2 months ago and have been using it almost every day. I’m not a gamer, but the G2.0 has something incredibly important that the 2.0 does not have: a wrist strap. This is key for switching seamlessly from mouse to keyboard without repositioning your wrist on the Carpio. It also has perforated pads, which allow for increased airflow and reduces palm sweatiness, which is, well, gross. The G2.0 has an asymmetrical design with an indentation for the pinkie side. This elevation difference is designed to decrease the strain on your thumb during use and distribute more pressure to your elbow when manipulating the mouse. The base of the G2.0 is extremely lightweight as well. Weighing in at just 19 grams, it’s exactly as heavy as my life savings: a stack of 19 one-dollar bills.

Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone who spends a lot of time at a computer. Whether you think you have wrist pain from your mouse or not, you’ll probably feel an improvement once your wrist is better aligned with your mouse.
