Do It for the ‘Gram

By “It,” I don’t mean dance, take food pics or selfies. And by “’Gram,” I don’t mean your Grandma. I mean, change your password and enable Two Factor Authentication on Instagram.

In the last few weeks, I’ve seen half a dozen people lose control of their accounts. And the scariest part is that whoever is hacking their accounts is doing a great job. For instance, two people were hijacked by people selling BitCoin mining. They take fake (but realistic looking) screenshots of their alleged bank account and say, “Thanks, @HackerXX, for telling me about this! I invested $1000 and made $10,000 in 3 hrs!” On the other friend’s account, the hackers took old content (he’s a musician – they posted him singing and playing the guitar) and posted it on IG, thanking the hackers for this “great tip.” I must admit that it tripped me up at first. It’s the first time I was fooled, even for a few seconds.

From what I hear, it’s hard to regain control of your account. So, click the link above and do it for the ‘gram. Might as well change your password while you’re in there.
